# HOW IT WORKS The **core mechanic** of the platform is collecting cards of the most promising esports teams and earning rewards each time they win - tied to real tournament results from **Major Budapest**. #### Here's a step-by-step breakdown of how to get started on the platform: **Step 1: Purchase Card Packs** Start by buying card packs from the [Shop](https://drafted.gitbook.io/drafted-v2-docs/shop). Each pack contains 5 random player cards with different drop rates: * **Common Pack ($49)** - 90% Common / 9% Rare / 1% Legendary * **Rare Pack ($129)** - 65% Common / 30% Rare / 5% Legendary * **Legendary Pack ($249)** - 35% Common / 50% Rare / 15% Legendary **Step 2: Enhance Your Cards (Optional)** Before activating, you can [upgrade ](https://drafted.gitbook.io/drafted-v2-docs/enhancement-system-card-upgrades)your cards using **Enchant Scrolls** to increase their **reward multipliers** (the higher the card's level, the higher is the reward).
